What We Stand For

Why Blankets & Why Now?

- One of the most seminal priorities for assistance is shelter. This includes, but is not limited to, the distribution of myriad shelter material (i.e. blankets), including tents, plastic sheeting, fastening fixtures and rope.

- Blankets are considered Shelter/Non-Food Items (NFI). To date, about 6,000 tarpaulins, 2,000 tents, 400 shelter boxes, 800 shelter kits (which include blankets) and 3, 500 plastic sheets have been distributed by non-governmental agencies.

29 January 2010 – Haiti Earthquake Situation Report).

- BlanketHaiti.Org is spearheading the New Orleans area blanket drive that will contribute to a larger request for a total of 10, 000 blankets. A comprehensive needs assessment has been completed and we will do our part to help make a positive difference.

Accountability & Transparency:

- We are a small public benefit non-profit organization.
- All donors/donations have received a receipt.
- Donations are tax-deductible.

Our Executive Team:
Dr. Thomas Bullock – Chair
Ms. Shawne B. Favre, MBA, CPA – Treasurer
Mr. Babatunde Ogunlola – Secretary
Mr. Happy Johnson – Director
